On June 1 we had our long awaited garage sale with Bill and Beverly. Here Beverly and Judy are setting out their valuable merchandise.

The sale had been scheduled for the previous Saturday, but heavy rains pushed it back a week. Treasure Hunt provided the perfect spot to attract those passing by.

I had to retrieve some long underwear out of a nightstand drawer.

Bill was quite the salesman. Here he demonstrates an exercising device of Judy's which he had never even seen before.

Beverly's problem was that for a while she was buying more of Judy's stuff than she was selling of her own.

Bill managed to convince one lady who bought an exercise video, that she had also won a free exercise machine. He then proceded to charge her $2 for it, but he did help her load it into her car.

Not only did David and Valerie provide the perfect location for our sale, Valerie insisted on providing us with food and beverage all day.
|
Overall we had a good day. The traffic was steady and we got rid of most of our stuff, which was really the object.

Fortunately Judy didn't wear the hat during the entire garage sale, but it draw some attention.

While the rest of her family went to karate class, Jamie stayed with Rachel and took a last ride on our pony before it was sold.
